Module One: Theory of Counterpulsation Therapy
This program provides comprehensive insights into intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation therapy, addressing catheter selection, positioning, timing, physiological effects, essential monitoring techniques, and management of potential complications.
Module Two: Cardiosave IABP Setup and Operation
The program discusses the technical considerations for a patient requiring IABP therapy. At the conclusion of this program, the participants will be able to demonstrate set-up and operation of the Getinge Cardiosave IABP.
Module Three: Cardiosave Inservice
This program offers comprehensive training on the Cardiosave IABP, incorporating recorded videos of hands-on inservicing. It provides instruction on Cardiosave IABP operation, including monitor navigation, touchscreen settings, and helium tank replacement, enhancing skill and confidence in clinical scenarios.
Module Four: Cardiosave IABP Troubleshooting Strategies
This program focuses on troubleshooting strategies related to the Cardiosave Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump. It guides healthcare professionals through preventative measures and corrective actions for ECG and arterial pressure signal-related issues, as well as probable causes and corrective actions for potential alarms, enhancing their skills in various patient care scenarios involving IABP.
