As the world leader in counterpulsation therapy, we are proud to offer the Web Seminar: Introduction to IABC Therapy.

This live, three hour live web seminar will include a review of the theory of intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation (IABC) therapy, followed by a discussion of the technical aspects of the GETINGE IABP and the IAB catheter. Troubleshooting the alarms and advisories will also be discussed.

At the conclusion of this program the learner will be able to: 

  • Identify three indications and three contraindications for IABC therapy
  • Delineate the major complications associated with IABC therapy
  • Discuss the operation and troubleshooting of the IABP 

This program has been approved for a maximum of 2.75 contact hours Continuing Respiratory Care Education (CRCE) credit by the America Association for Respiratory Care.

This program has been approved by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) for 2.75 CERPs, Synergy CERP Category A.
